Moët & Chandon raises a glass to Champagne Day, 23–25 October
From Johannesburg rooftops to Cape Town hotels, the Maison turns three days into one long celebration.
Likers of Things

Moët & Chandon needs no occasion to raise a glass, but this Champagne Day weekend, 23 to 25 October, the Maison has given South Africa its finest excuse yet. Exclusive celebrations, from intimate soirées to golden-hour toasts, will unfold at participating venues nationwide, part of a regional toast reaching from Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana to Dubai, Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire, the DRC and Cameroon.
Where to celebrate
In Johannesburg: Gemelli, Alto 234, Tang, Sandton Sun Deck, Southern Sun Hyde Park and 54 on Bath. In Cape Town: Winchester Hotel, Mount Nelson, Gigi’s Rooftop, Tang, Intercontinental Table Bay Hotel, Morea House, Bilboa, The Nines, Lily’s and Surfshack. In Durban: 14 On Chartwell, Zai and Southern Sun Beverly Hills. Bookings are made through the individual venues.

The heritage behind the pour is considerable. Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon is now enjoyed in more than 150 countries, and the Maison says a cork pops somewhere in the world every second. Its 1,300 hectares of Champagne vineyards span Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites, worked with 2,300 partner winegrowers. Through its Natura Nostra biodiversity programme, 85 kilometres of hedgerows had been planted by 2025, creating ecological corridors that also support water preservation and soil protection.
At the centre of it all is Brut Impérial, first crafted in 1869. The Maison calls it the little black dress of Champagne: an enduring classic blended from more than 100 wines across over 280 crus, balancing joyful fruitiness with refined maturity.

“On Champagne Day, we celebrate this cherished heritage,” says Aimee Kellen, Regional Marketing Director, Moët Hennessy Middle East & Africa. “Raise a glass of Champagne with us.”
The Maison’s belief is as simple as it is timeless: life is better when shared.
