Masego Lights Up 4 Ways Farmers Market: Fix Your Face Tour Touches Down in Johannesburg

Johannesburg’s music calendar is about to get a serious upgrade. Grammy-nominated American singer, songwriter and self-styled “TrapHouseJazz” pioneer Masego will headline 4 Ways Farmers Market on Sunday, 5 July, as part of his global Fix Your Face Tour. The show forms part of Masego’s worldwide run and marks his Johannesburg stop at Stone House Gardens.

The event is presented by Strictly Soul, the brand that has grown from a niche social gathering into an R&B event celebrated across Africa,  and this Masego collaboration is being billed as a continuation of that mission to bring world-class R&B and soul experiences to South African audiences.

The Setting

There’s something fitting about hosting an artist known for blending jazz, soul and hip-hop in one of Joburg’s most relaxed outdoor spaces. Wide open lawns, fresh air, and an outdoor space that makes you forget you’re in the city  set the scene for what’s being framed as the ultimate winter Sunday hangout. Doors open at 12PM, with music running until 7PM,  giving fans a full afternoon to settle into the grass, grab a bite from the food stalls, sip on something from the bars, and let the day unfold around the music.

Who’s On the Lineup

Masego won’t be carrying the day alone. He’s joined on the bill by South African acts Bubble Hume, Lusanda, Sishii and Yolophonik,  rounding out a lineup that blends his international sound with homegrown talent across soul, R&B and alternative genres. It’s a setup designed to introduce or reintroduce local audiences to some of South Africa’s own rising voices, sharing a stage with an artist whose global profile keeps climbing.

Why It Matters

Masego has built a reputation for genre-bending sets that pull from jazz instrumentation, smooth R&B vocals and hip-hop energy, and his live shows are known for audience interaction as much as musicianship. Having him perform in an open-air, community-driven market setting rather than a traditional arena gives the show an intimate, festival-like feel that’s rare for an artist of his stature.

There's a particular kind of confidence that only comes from having done the work. Not the loud, performative kind, but the quiet, grounded assurance of someone who looked at a dream, built it with their hands, and now stands inside it.

If a party leaves you with nothing but a sore head and a handful of blurry photos, it wasn't much of a night. Jägermeister's Haus of Kühl has always understood this,, and this year's edition arrives with even greater intention.
