The purple carpet was buzzing on Saturday, 17 October, as celebrities, creators and entertainers arrived at The Galleria in Sandton for the 2026 Samsung Galaxy Content Creator Awards.

The night’s biggest winner was Grace Mondlana, who took home both the Samsung Galaxy Creator of the Year and Trendsetter awards. Lasizwe was named YouTube Creator of the Year.

Among the other winners spotted were Chad Jones (Dance Creator), Yasmin Furmie (Style), Mikhalé Jones (947 Sound of Tomorrow), Miss Angler (Expert Voices), Ikho Kweba (Best Comedy Content Creator), Nabilah Kariem (Best Creator x Brand Collaboration, for Le Creuset) and Joshua Rubin (Impact Creator).

Attendees included Nadia Jaftha, Chanley Wong, Lesego Tlhabi, Kyle Clark, Banele Ndaba, Kim Jayde, Anika Dambuza, Devi Sankaree Govender, Courtnaé Paul, K Naomi, Kriya Gangiah, Lebo Lion, Mbali Nhlapo, Lordkez, Benny Jnr, Sphokuhle N, Lukie and Farieda Metsileng.

“The Content Creator Awards are about giving this talent the recognition it deserves,” says Manuela Dias de Deus, founder of the awards and of One-eyed Jack.
