Moët & Chandon Raises The Bar At Luxurious Marble Circus With A Refined Imperial Terrace
For the second consecutive year, the Maison turned a Johannesburg afternoon into a study in effortless celebration, with Ice Impérial at its centre. There is a particular ease that settles over a space when every detail has been considered, from the food to the atmosphere. That was The Imperial Terrace, Moët & Chandon's home at Luxurious Marble Circus in Johannesburg for the second year running.
Likers of Things

Luxurious Marble Circus has built its reputation on making the extraordinary look effortless. It brings together food pairing, music and culture in unexpected ways, and within that setting the Maison offered its own expression of celebration: elevated yet relaxed, social by nature and unmistakably Moët & Chandon.

At the heart of the terrace was Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial, the Maison's signature champagne, created to be enjoyed over ice. The cuvée took centre stage this year through the Maison's ongoing creative dialogue with Pharrell Williams. Building on their collaborative collection, Ice Impérial opens a new chapter for 2026, presented for the first time without its iconic white sleeve. The result is a cleaner, stripped-back bottle.
The design is rooted in the sun-drenched spirit of Saint-Tropez, where the ritual of drinking Moët & Chandon over ice first emerged more than a decade ago. It carries the same conviction that guides the House: life is better when shared.

The experience was shaped as much by what surrounded the glass as by what filled it. Zioux brought its culinary perspective to the terrace with a curated selection of dishes designed to enhance the tasting experience. The Moët & Chandon vending machine added a playful note, giving guests an unexpected moment of discovery. Food, champagne and music came together in a setting made for sharing.
As the light softened, guests gathered for the Maison's signature toast. Familiar faces and new acquaintances raised their glasses in unison, a gesture that captured the spirit of the afternoon.

Broadcaster and actor Maps Maponyane, who joined the celebration, described the day as "nothing short of magical." He said: "From the flowing Imperial Ice and breathtaking views to the wonderfully celebratory atmosphere, every detail set the tone for an unforgettable experience. Pouring Moët & Chandon into the glass tower was a truly iconic Moët & Chandon moment that brought everyone together. Sharing the experience with a crowd who appreciates exceptional taste, and know how to have a good time, made it unforgettable."
With the year moving toward its most anticipated season, The Imperial Terrace set the stage for the connection, celebration and shared toasts still to come.
Founded in 1743, Moët & Chandon draws on the largest terroir in Champagne and is present in more than 150 countries. Its portfolio spans the timeless Brut Impérial, the bespoke Grand Vintage, Ice Impérial (the first champagne designed to be enjoyed on the rocks) and Collection Impériale, the ultimate expression of Haute Oenologie. The Maison is also committed to its people and communities through its sustainability programmes, Natura Nostra and Essentia.
