Knorr Pasta Pots, the perfect snack #ForThatHunger

Knorr Pasta Pots, the perfect snack #ForThatHunger

There's hunger, and then there's Hunger. the kind that gets you up before your alarm and keeps you working long after everyone else has clocked off

Likers of Things

That was the theme Knorr built its Pasta Pots launch around on 11 August, when it took over Level Three in Kramerville, Sandton, and filled it with the country's most driven creators, entrepreneurs and side-hustlers.

The brief was less "product demo" and more "day worth documenting." Guests turned up dressed in Knorr's signature green and pink, and the event was designed to be lived in rather than watched from a chair. It opened with a single prompt "what quote do you live by?" with answers projected across the walls for the rest of the day. From there, things opened out fast: a podcast and content space for recording personal hustle stories, a fashion and content corner built for the day's inevitable content dump, a DJ booth crowdsourcing a "Hustler's Playlist," and a Knorr Experience Zone for sampling the new range. A running challenge to meet at least three new people before leaving kept the whole room mixing.

The guest list read like a cross-section of the culture: rapper and entrepreneur Moozlie, chef and television personality Lorna Maseko, Atlegang Songo, Mohale Motaung and Yolanda Mukondi were among those in the room, alongside a wider mix of creators and industry voices.

The day's centrepiece was a panel discussion on what ambition actually looks like day to day the wins, the setbacks, and the habits that survive long after the trend cycle moves on. It was hosted by Lebo Lion, the award-winning digital marketer, author and strategist known for her viral threads and unflinching takes on business. Joining her were multidisciplinary creative and DJ Mateki 2Shoes (Lesego Mohapi), YFM radio DJ and podcaster Baxbara (Barbara Moagi), actor and musician Sishii (Ntobeko Sishi), and Thebe Tau, Knorr's Brand Manager for Meal Solutions, who led the range's arrival in South Africa. ASMR creator Lindokuhle Madlingozi, Mihlali Koyana (K.Keed) and Mackie TV rounded out the day's collaborators.

And then, the actual reveal: Knorr Pasta Pots, the brand's globally available range, finally hit South African snack drawers. Built for what Knorr calls "Life Maxxers" -people racing between deadlines, content shoots and side hustles the pots need nothing more than hot water and a stir, no stove required, ready in five minutes flat.

"We have imported the range to tap into the snacking occasion, which is often eaten alone, mostly during the weekday versus weekends," said Laureen Nonhlanhla Mxoli, Earned Media & Influencer Marketing Lead at Knorr. "This is a warm snack alternative that can also be made more indulgent by adding fun ingredients to make it extra special."

The launch sits under Knorr's new #ForThatHunger campaign, which leans into a simple idea: the same drive that pushes people to chase their goals deserves fuelling at every point in the day. Imported from Germany, the range comes in three flavours- Carbonara, Mushroom, and Tomato & Mozzarella, each priced at R49.99 and available exclusively at Checkers and via Checkers Sixty60.

By the time the DJ booth wound down, the room had done exactly what Knorr set out to prove: hunger, the ambitious kind, deserves to be fed properly.
