Converse x Minions Brings Mischief to Canvas

Converse doesn’t usually do chaos. This time, it’s leaning right into it. The brand is teaming up with Illumination’s Minions & Monsters for a limited-edition collection of footwear, apparel and custom Converse By You pieces built for fans of every age, capturing all the riotous energy the yellow henchmen are known for.

The range spans several silhouettes, each carrying its own level of mischief. The Chuck 70 goes for a more elevated look, done up in premium denim with an outside ankle pocket and co-branded detailing. The Chuck Taylor All Star, meanwhile, goes all in on the character graphics playful eyelets, custom stitching and a bright yellow outsole that’s hard to miss.

For the smaller humans in the house, there’s the Chuck Taylor All Star Easy-On, built for effortless slip-on wear and finished with a Minions-inspired adjustable eye strap. Rounding things out, an apparel capsule brings two T-Shirts and a Hoodie in bold graphic treatments, while Converse By You lets fans build their own pair from a lineup of Minions-inspired colours, prints, accents and laces.

The timing isn’t random. Illumination’s Minions & Monsters lands in theatres on June 26, opening a new chapter in the global Minions universe, this time introducing fresh faces James and Henry and their equally chaotic crew. The collection is Converse’s way of putting that cinematic chaos onto canvas.

The Converse x Minions collection launches 25 June at Converse.co.za and select retailers, priced from R899,95 to R1999,95.
