Zanele Potelwa Hosts The 2026 SAMAs Alongside Cassper Nyovest In Sun City

Zanele Potelwa is once again proving why she's one of South Africa's most sought-after media personalities.

Likers of Things

Just days after jetting back from New York, where she sat down with actress Thuso Mbedu, the award-winning television and radio host took to the stage on Saturday night to co-host the 32nd South African Music Awards at the iconic Sun City Superbowl.

Sharing hosting duties with artist and entrepreneur Cassper Nyovest, the night marked a full-circle moment for the SAMAs as the ceremony returned to its original home in Sun City. Themed #SAMA32 "The Future Sounds Like Now Now", the show delivered the energy, glamour and celebration fans have come to expect, with nominees, presenters, winners and performers all bringing their A-game.

For Zanele, the night was the latest milestone in a steady rise through the SAMAs ranks from red carpet host to the show's iconic "voice of god," and now main stage host. It's a trajectory that reflects her consistency, work ethic and undeniable star power.

A show-stopping wardrobe

True to form, Zanele turned every outfit change into a moment, stepping out in stunning looks from Imprint South Africa, Sihle The Designer, Otiz Seflo, Tailored Black and Hoss by Sass. Every piece was styled to perfection by Mr Suave, with glam courtesy of Lexie's Royal Touch on makeup and JozEEst Accessories by ZEE rounding out her looks with the perfect finishing touches.

In her own words

Reflecting on the night, an elated Zanele shared:

"I am still so excited! God is really showing off with me, and it was an honour to grace the stage with Cassper. We came a long way with rehearsals, outfit preparations and much more-I am so grateful to have given South Africa a really great show."

With her signature passion and drive, Zanele continues to solidify her place as one of the entertainment industry's brightest stars one major milestone at a time.

The SAMAs aired live on SABC 1 on Saturday, 15 August, from 8PM.
