Miguel Is Coming Back to South Africa And This Time He's Hitting Three Cities

Grammy-winning artist set to light up Cape Town, Sun City and Pretoria in May 2027

South African music lovers, mark your calendars: Miguel is returning to our shores, and this time he's not stopping at one show. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter, producer and actor will play three back-to-back dates across the country in May 2027, giving fans in the Western Cape, North West and Gauteng a chance to catch him live.

The run kicks off on Friday, 21 May at the Grand Arena, GrandWest in Cape Town, before heading north to the Sun City Superbowl on Saturday, 22 May. The tour then closes out in the capital with a show at Sunbet Arena, Pretoria on Sunday, 23 May.

Miguel's story is one of quiet, consistent evolution. He began pursuing music at just thirteen years old, and over the years has built a discography that resists easy categorisation sliding effortlessly between R&B, soul and rock with an artistic confidence that's made him one of the genre's most respected voices.

Across five studio albums and a long list of features, he's given fans an enviable back catalogue of hits, and South African audiences can expect to hear the songs that made his name, including "Sure Thing," "All I Want Is You," "Kaleidoscope Dream," "Do You," "Skywalker," "Coffee" and "How Many Drinks," alongside plenty more from his extensive catalogue.

The shows are being brought to South Africa by Vertex Events, whose team has made a habit of pulling in world-class international acts. "As an experiential events company, we look forward to curating yet another set of world-class shows that our audiences can enjoy and make memorable," says Zizile Mtshali, Vertex Events' Head of Events.

For Executive Director Thato Segoale, the ambition is simple go bigger, every time. "As a dedicated events team, we only believe in growing bigger and better. Bringing Miguel to South Africa for three amazing live world-class shows is what we aim to produce."

Tickets go on sale via Webtickets (www.webtickets.co.za) and at Pick n Pay stores nationwide, with prices starting from R950.

Whether you're planning a Cape Town weekend around the Grand Arena show, making a trip of it at Sun City, or catching him closer to home in Pretoria, one thing's for certain — this is set to be one of 2027's most anticipated live music moments in South Africa.
