Thabo "Ryzor" Shokgolo and Jonathan "Ziyon" Hamilton built one of SA music's most enduring catalogues on songs like "Fairytale," "Alone," "Still," "BBM" and "Rise Again" the kind of tracks that soundtracked a generation and still get replayed today. That legacy got a fresh jolt recently when Tyla put her own spin on "Fairytale," introducing the song to an entirely new, global audience.

Now the duo are stepping back into their own story. "For The Night" leans into a more contemporary, atmospheric sound while holding on to the emotional honesty that's always defined Liquideep's music.

In their own words, the return isn't about chasing old glory. "We didn't want to come back simply because people remembered the music. We came back because we still have something to say," the duo explained, describing the new single as a reflection of who they are now as artists and as people after years of living, growing and changing.

That idea of timelessness has always been core to their sound, and they say it still is. What's different this time, they note, is themselves: more life experience, a different perspective, and music that carries the weight of it.
