Langa Mavuso steps through The Other Side

Ten years into a career built on love, loss and the long work of healing, Langa Mavuso is taking his music on the road. The Other Side Tour begins tonight, 2 October 2026, at the Kumalo Turpin Gallery, presented by Stella Artois, and then travels the country until April 2027.

Likers of Things

The tour is built as a journey rather than a greatest-hits set. Mavuso has long written about love, identity, vulnerability and heartbreak, and the show moves between the intimate and the expansive, with his voice and storytelling at the centre. The setlist draws on the full catalogue, from Liminal Sketches to Therapy: The Other Side. Fans can expect the favourites, some new sounds and a few special guest surprises along the way.

New music is also on the way. Mavuso will introduce tracks from his upcoming deluxe album, due on 16 October 2026, so audiences will hear it before most of the country does.

The Other Side Tour dates

  • 2 October 2026: Kumalo Turpin Gallery (presented by Stella Artois)

  • 24 October 2026: Emperors Palace, Johannesburg

  • 15 November 2026: Drama Theatre, Pretoria

  • 21 November 2026: Boardwalk ICC, Gqeberha

  • 4 February 2027: Johannesburg (venue TBC)

  • 5 February 2027: Cape Town (venue TBC)

  • 6 March 2027: Durban (venue TBC)

  • 7 April 2027: East London (venue TBC)

For a performer whose catalogue is built on emotional honesty, a tour that asks what lies on the other side of the artist is a natural next step. It is part celebration of the road so far and part look at where he is heading.
