Groove Biennale Takes Sound Beyond The Dancefloor
The Post Eco (Sound) System Installation turns listening into something you do together.
Likers of Things

If your diary is looser than usual this week, Groove Biennale has an answer. The Post Eco (Sound) System Installation opens today, Thursday 8 October, and runs through Friday 9 October, bringing together a multidisciplinary line-up of artists and creatives for two days built around music, sound, art and community.

The installation sets out to take sound beyond the traditional dancefloor. Instead of treating audiences as spectators, it invites them into the space as participants: to engage with the sound, with the surroundings and with one another. The aim is moments of conversation and shared discovery, and an exploration of how nightlife can become a space for collective expression and collaboration.

The programme features BŪJIN with LIKKLYLIKS, DORMANTYOUTH, JINJI B2B ZANGO KUBHEKA, LOVING PARENTS, ANXIOUSBABY, MR FAGWINTER and SCARS.
Groove Biennale forms part of Jägermeister's wider Night Embassy and SAVE THE NIGHT commitment to the people, communities and ideas shaping the future of nightlife. The organisers say the involvement goes beyond traditional sponsorship, creating room for grassroots culture and emerging creatives whose work may not always find a home in conventional nightlife settings.

Thelma Ndebele sums up the thinking: "Groove Biennale is about creating a space where music, art and community can meet — where different creative voices can connect, experiment and help shape what comes next."
