Gospel's Biggest Names Gather on the Day of Reconciliation
Every December, South Africa goes on the move. Highways fill, families converge on ancestral homes, and the year's weariness gives way to the promise of rest. This year, on 16 December, thousands will be invited to pause the rush for an evening of worship at SunBet Arena in Pretoria.
Likers of Things

The One Faith Gospel Concert, hosted by BT Entertainment, brings together some of the country's most respected gospel voices under a theme that sounds like a prayer and a challenge at once: "All Be One."
The timing is deliberate. 16 December is the Day of Reconciliation, a public holiday that asks South Africans to reflect on how far the country has come, and how much it still owes to the work of understanding one another. For One Faith, the date turns a concert into something closer to a gathering of the nation's congregations.
"One Faith is about bringing people together through the universal language of music and the shared experience of faith," says BT Entertainment. "The theme 'All Be One' captures what we want audiences to take away from this experience – that despite our differences, there is strength in coming together, celebrating one another and sharing hope for the future."

The organisers hope that message will travel beyond the arena doors and into the new year, encouraging unity, compassion and a recognition of shared humanity.
The bill reads like a survey of South African gospel in all its range. Judith Sephuma, one of the country's most celebrated vocalists, will deliver a special gospel performance. Around her stand the worship ministries of Benjamin Dube, Ntokozo Mbambo, Xolly Mncwango and Dumi Mkokstad, names that have shaped how many South Africans pray, sing and lift their hands.
Tebogo Moloi, Takie Ndou, Oncemore Six and Amadodana AseWesile complete the programme. Together the nine acts span different generations, musical styles and worship traditions. The aim is a concert that reflects the diversity of gospel itself, where congregations that may sing in different languages and idioms share the same stage and the same purpose.
December is also a season of reckoning. The year's ledger is closing, and people look back at what they gained, what they lost, and who stood beside them. One Faith is pitched as a space for that reflection: a night to give thanks, to hold on to hope, and to be among others doing the same.
At its heart, the organisers say, the concert is about togetherness. It is designed for families, friends, church groups and entire communities who want to share an uplifting experience through music and worship, all in one room.
Tickets are available through Webtickets and Pick n Pay. Gospel lovers, families, church groups and corporate audiences are encouraged to book early and make One Faith part of their December plans.
For one evening in the middle of the festive scramble, the invitation is simple: take a break from the rush. Come together. Give thanks. Worship. Celebrate.
