A spin-off of the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival brings more jokes to your city.
In South Africa we are serious about being funny and our comedians are seriously funny and what better way to express our comedic genius than through a roadshow headlined by our brightest comic stars including: Schalk Bezuidenhout, Robby Collins, Loyiso Madinga and Neil Green. They will be embarking on a nationwide tour that will touch down in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg at the end of October and beginning of November. The trending comics event is the place to be if you are in desperate need for a relief from the influx of bad news that are doing the rounds, for a good night out or if you just want to have a good laugh.
Hosted by the delicious and funny Donavan Goliath from Johannesburg (admit it he’s yummy), Kurt Schoonraad from Cape Town and Carvin Goldstone from Durban. This event will have you doubled over in stitches wishing you could ditch your day job and just go on tour with the crazy bunch. Trending Comics is a spin-off of the Johannesburg International Comedy Festival (JICF) and if you know anything about that festival you will know what an event it is with an electrifying lineup of the most decorated comedians. Since the JICF will only be returning in March 2018, trending comics can be seen to be the show before show.
The tour starts at the Cape Town Comedy Club, recently listed in the ‘Top 10 Comedy Clubs in the World‘ on Friday and Saturday, October 20 and 21; hits the 031 Comedy Club, in Morningside, Durban on Saturday and Sunday, October 28 and 29 before closing the curtain on this inaugural edition at The Goliath Comedy Club in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg on Friday and Saturday, November 3 and 4. Listen if you are in Johannesburg and have never been to the Goliath Comedy club, this is your chance, did I also mention that you get to see Donavan Goliath?
