Festive Cheers At Cresta Shopping Centre This Holiday Season
By SK | 19 December 2017
“Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of getting. It is happiness because we see joy in people. It is forgetting self and finding time for others. It is discarding the meaningless and stressing the true values.” ~ Thomas S. Monson
Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle All The Way….. to Cresta Shopping Centre this festive season. With less than a week left before the big two-five, we firmly and festively believe its time to maximize tour holiday and Christmas experience.
Tis’ the season to be jolly and Cresta Shopping Centre has transformed into a world of joy from the 8th to the 24th of December. We all know once school closes, work is done and if you are not fortunate to go on that fabulous beach or snow holiday, with children around its quite a task to keep everyone entertained, busy and yourself happy too. This festive season Cresta is a world for all to experience, from Santa meetups for the little ones, to selfie booths for the teens, make your very own magnum to self-indulge as well as the true spirit of giving back with book stations and charity events across the centre for the period.
As Cresta is more than just a Shopping Centre, shoppers can expect to Imagine More this festive season with not only over 260 stores but also additional bespoke activities. Bring the kids to the family zone in the Banking court from 8 -24 December to enjoy kids festive craft activities, face painting and let the little ones tell Santa their wishes. Face painting and Santa photo opportunities will be available between 10:00 and 18:00 and printed photographs will be R30 per print.
This time of year is all about giving and generosity, so Cresta has made giving back easier for shoppers with their Charitable Festive Tree. This kindness corner – outside FNB – is a giant tree bookshelf and reading corner that allows shoppers to donate new or pre-loved books that will be donated to a children’s home in the Cresta Community. To give the gift of literature and education this year, shoppers can also donate cash (cash or credit card) to go towards books. Here, children stories will be read to those looking for a moment to pause, relax and enjoy. Reading times are at 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm and 5pm.
For a decadent and magical experience, pop into the #MakeMyMagnumSA Pleasure Bar in the Food and Entertainment court to create your very own signature Magnum ice-cream complimented with many delightful toppings for you to indulge in.
The Cresta Festive Elves have thought of all the tiny merry details this year to ensure that shoppers have a pleasant experience at Cresta. Friendly gift-wrappers will be at three gift-wrapping stations around the centre to turn your shopping into beautifully wrapped gifts for free. Performances by dazzling ballerinas and Nutcracker marching bands will be adding to the festive atmosphere as well. Selfie spots around the centre provide photo opportunities and give shoppers the chance to win a R5,000 Cresta gift card by simply uploading their festive pictures onto Facebook, Instagram or Twitter tagging #MerryCresta.
